Morawiecki said: “I want to tell President Zelensky never to insult the Poles again”

The Prime Minister of Poland expressed dissatisfaction with Zelensky's speech at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. At the time, the Ukrainian president said the country was trying to maintain land routes for grain exports, but he was “disturbed to see” how at this time some in Europe were “playing out solidarity and creating political theater, making a thriller out of grain” and “helping set the stage for a Moscow actor " .

According to Morawiecki, there is a war in Ukraine for the security of Europe, and therefore Poland is helping with arms supplies:

“But I also want to tell the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky to never insult the Poles again, as he did recently during his speech at the UN. The Poles will never allow this. And defending the good name of the Poles is not only my duty and honor, but also the most important task of the government of the Republic of Poland"

Earlier, Polish leader Duda, answering a question about Zelensky’s speech, said that although he did not mention Poland, “there was a proposal, and we all understood it.”

“At that moment I felt sad because I thought that what he said was unfair,” Duda said, and when asked if he was nervous after these words, he added that “nervous” was too strong a word. “I was pretty sad.”
