RED RIVER 1988 - Big Jim Arness stars in this CBS TV remake of the 1948 John Wayne Classic. He initially passed on it, not wanting to take on his mentor John Wayne's role, but with some convincing and a cast of Bruce Boxleitner, Gregory Harrison, Ray Walston, Ty Hardin, Robert Horton, John Lupton and Guy Madison, he decided to take it on. They all do a fine job.
