Retrofitting Movements, Dials, Hands, and Cases to Make Watches from Spare Parts

I bought a used ETA 2836-2 on ricardo for $20 and a Rado Diastar dial for it for $10. I'm interested in this day-date movement because it's an interesting complication to study and it's an ETA so I'm already familiar with the base.

The flat Rado Diastar dial I got doesn't seem to work with this particular 2836-2. In the video I discuss how some other ETA movements including the 2783 use spacers with flat dials to to keep the dial from rubbing on the date disc.

I also received some hands from cousinsuk.com, and in the beginning of the video I show how to use the ranfft website to check which hands you need for a particular movement.
