NASA's SpaceX Crew-6 Pre-Departure News Conference (Aug. 23, 2023)
After nearly six months aboard the International Space Station, the astronauts of NASA's SpaceX Crew-6 mission take questions from media and the public before their upcoming return to Earth, currently scheduled for Sept. 2, 2023.
Participants include:
- NASA astronaut Stephen Bowen, mission commander
- NASA astronaut Warren "Woody" Hoburg, pilot
- United Arab Emirates (UAE) astronaut Sultan Alneyadi, mission specialist
- Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, mission specialist
Since docking to the station on March 3, 2023, the members of Crew-6 have contributed to hundreds of experiments and technology demonstrations, including student robotic challenges, plant genetics, and human health in microgravity to prepare for exploration beyond low Earth orbit while benefiting life on Earth.
Members of the public with questions for the crew are encouraged to share them on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the hashtag #AskNASA before and during the conference.
