A capital city is usually a countries biggest, most popular and greatest city.

Like London, Bangkok, Tokyo or Rome.

However this isn’t always the case with the likes of Australia, New Zealand and the US whos most popular cities are Sydney, Auckland and New York respectively, not being their capital cities.
