"Turkish Style Eggs (Çilbir) Recipe: Elevate the Flavor with a Surprising Secret Ingredient!"
I used the Skyr Coconut yogurt as an alternative yogurt base for this dish and it was extra creamy, tasty and so delicious!
Ingredients (serves 1):
🔸 120g Arla Skyr Coconut yoghurt
🔸 1 small clove of garlic
🔸 Large handful of dill (+ more for garnish)
🔸 Pinch of Salt
🔸 20g butter
🔸 0.5tsp crushed chilli flakes (or 1tsp Aleppo pepper)
🔸 Pinch of paprika
🔸 2 eggs
🔸 2 slices of sourdough bread
Method:
1️⃣ In a small bowl, mix the Arla Skyr Coconut yogurt with the grated garlic, handful of chopped dill & salt and set aside
2️⃣ Toast the bread (either in a pan or toaster) till golden
3️⃣ Boil (or poach) the eggs. I boiled mine for 6 mins for runny yolks
4️⃣ While the egg cooks, in a small pan, melt the butter & add the chilli flakes & (or Aleppo pepper) and paprika , then stir together & heat till frothy and turns orange/ red in colour
5️⃣ Assemble the dish by adding the yogurt to the base, top with eggs & pour over the chilli butter. Then garnish with dill & enjoy with toast
