On The Scene: China's defence ministry said on Thursday (September 28) that Beijing will not sit idly by after the United States and its allies conducted a "provocative" joint military drill in the Yellow Sea. The U.S., together with allies Canada and South Korea, conducted a one-day drill in the region on Sept. 14. The ministry also announced that China and Saudi Arabia will launch a joint naval training exercise in October.
