Never seen before visuals! Papua New Guinea PM seeks PM Modi’s blessings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Papua New guinea on Sunday for talks with Pacific island leaders, the first visit by an Indian premier as New Delhi seeks to counter China's growing footprint in the region. PM Modi reached the Pacific island country after attending the Group of Seven (G7) summit at Tokyo, Japan.

However, on landing at the Port Moresby airport, the Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape touched PM Modi's feet and sought his blessings, a rare sighting indeed!

Further, upon PM Modi's arrival, the Indian national anthem was played and the two prime ministers stood still in respect. PM Modi was also accorded a guard of honour on his arrival.
