That's how you will prevent the Bosch VP44 Fuel Pump from failing. The Bosch VP44 Fuel Pump is supposed to replace the Mechanical Fuel Pump for Pre-EGR Emissions of Mid-1998 (1998.5) for cleaner tailpipe emissions for the environment.
