The Ferrari mid-engined V8 is almost 50 years old, and to celebrate this enduring legendary motor, Ferrari launched the F8 Tributo – what may just be the last non-hybrid V8 ever.

We’ve been wanting to get our hands on the F8 for a couple of years now – ever since we cancelled our deposit on one in favour of the Pista Spider – and now it’s time to finally drive it, thanks to CarGuys viewer, Vincent.

Is it too fast for the road? Is it just a rebodied Pista? How does it drive at beans speed on the road? Has the interior been improved at all? Do all the nostalgic touches make it a fitting tribute to 50 years of Ferrari V8s? Let’s find out.
