Social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan, who both face human trafficking charges in Romania, appeared on Tuesday at a court in Romania’s capital, Bucharest, to ask that the current judicial measures imposed on them be lifted alongside measures that saw a number of their assets seized during investigations.

The court postponed making a decision on the judicial measures against them until this Thursday and set a new date to discuss the asset seizures for early November.

Tate, the divisive internet influencer who is charged in Romania with rape, human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women, won an appeal in August to be released from house arrest.

Prosecutors formally indicted the 36-year-old Tate in June along with his brother, Tristan, and two Romanian women in the same case.
All four were arrested in late December near Bucharest and have denied the allegations against them.

Tate, who has been accused of peddling conspiracy theories online and has amassed 7.5 million Twitter followers, has repeatedly claimed that prosecutors have no evidence against him and that there is a political conspiracy designed to silence him.
