Drinking with the miners at the Pit in Dawson City, Yukon

The Wetminster Hotel in Dawson City, Yukon, Canada. This is an original late 19th century gold-rush era hotel and bar. Live music, mixed crowd, truly authentic. It's lovingly called the Pit as there is a literal pit underneath where the owners in the time of the Gold Rush thought they might strike it rich. The building is not up to code, so it will be closed by law if it violates the terms of the grandfather clause in the law; that is, if it ever closes for even one day. Thus, it never does. 365 days a year, forever, you can come here.
