Elon Musk's Neuralink, his brain implant company has been caught out in its trials with monkey's suffering horrible deaths as a result of the experiments.

At the same time human trials are commencing giving people the chance to hope that their paraplegia may be corrected to allow them to walk again.

But of course it sparks a brand new debate about ethics, but also about societal coercion and one upmanship. Or what happens when your boss tells you that require an upgrade in order to compete?
