Huma Abedin is an American political staffer who was Vice Chair of Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign for President of the United States. She was also deputy chief of staff to Clinton when she was U.S. Secretary of State.

Abedin was a longtime close aide to Hillary Clinton and has written in a new book that she was sexually assaulted by a US senator, an incident she “buried” until allegations against the supreme court justice Brett Kavanaugh triggered her memory years later.

In a recent interview, Abedin opened up about her time at the White House, on the campaign trail, and on her marriage to Weiner, saying she was trying to figure out how to fix him and get their life back.
