576 Megapixels | Smartphones Cameras vs HumanEye

Smartphone cameras had already reached high resolutions, with some flagship models boasting 108MP sensors. While this provides sharp and detailed images, the human eye has the equivalent of a resolution greater than 576MP in a 120-degree field of view, which is far beyond what smartphones had achieved. Human eyes have excellent low-light sensitivity, thanks to the presence of millions of light-sensitive cells in the retina called rods and cones. While smartphone cameras were improving their low-light performance with features like Night Mode and larger pixel sizes, they were still not at the level of the human eye in terms of sensitivity. The human eye has an incredible dynamic range, allowing it to simultaneously capture detail in both bright and dark areas of a scene. Smartphone cameras had made strides in improving dynamic range with technologies like HDR (High Dynamic Range), but they were not quite at the level of the human eye. The human eye is capable of perceiving a vast range of colors with excellent accuracy. Smartphone cameras were improving color accuracy, but they were still not a match for the human eye's capabilities.
