In this video, we’re going to talk about what causes Charley horses and what to do about them. A charley horse is basically a severe cramp in the calf muscle, and it can be very painful. But, a charley horse can actually let you know what you’re deficient in.

If you get a charley horse, you may have low electrolytes. An electrolyte is a mineral that either works with the electrical system of the body or the muscle system. It allows muscles to contract and relax, or nerve impulses to travel.

What causes Charley horses:

1. Calcium deficiency
2. Magnesium deficiency
3. Potassium deficiency
4. Sodium deficiency
5. Chloride deficiency
