At our homestead we use chicken leg bands as a reliable and convenient way to keep track of our birds. The bands are made of plastic, which makes them durable and long-lasting.

Our main reason for using chicken leg bands is that they allow us to easily establish the age of the birds by using a unique color for each year. This is important for managing our flock, as it allows us to determine which birds are at the optimal age for egg laying and which birds are older. Removing older birds is necessary for the proper care and management of our flock.
