There's a lot of misinformation out there. Today, I'm going to cover the three worst weight loss tips I've heard and why you should avoid doing them.

3 stupid weight loss tips to avoid:

1. Eat fewer calories
Not all calories are treated the same in the body. Fat has the most calories, but it actually has the least effect on the negative hormones. For example, in the presence of insulin, you won't lose weight. Fat is almost neutral when it comes to insulin, but carbs really spike insulin. So, it really depends on what calories you're consuming rather than the number of calories.

2. Everything in moderation
It only takes a little bit of sugar or a small amount of junk food to kick you out of fat-burning for 48-72 hours, especially if your metabolism is slow.

3. Your metabolism is slow because you're not eating enough (eat more)
If you start eating even though you're not hungry, you're going to spike insulin, and you will end up with low blood sugar levels. Now, you're going to be hungry. Your metabolism may actually decrease because you spiked insulin. This could cause you to be hungry all of the time. Don't eat unless you're hungry. Your metabolism may be slow because you're eating too frequently, or you may be eating the wrong things.
