Drawing Session #1: Tripping & Falling
A time-lapse of a drawing I've made, based off 3 elements of inspiration.

I got inspired by two things for this drawing (or even three if you count the music in the background): First of all and the most obvious, @Emirichu's thumbnail for https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWEte7NUmxs (How I Draw: Facial Expressions), I looked at this drawing and it gave me another inspiration from a song I've heard from the rapper @Boi_Vibe_Ish, his song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjn2D5snJvM (וייב איש - ג'ולי).

The song is a storytelling one, talking about a girl from class named Julie, a quiet girl who suffered from abuse, whether it's sexual, verbal or physical, suicidal thoughts and depression plaguing her mind. I found it very relatable (at least the depression and suicidal thoughts message of the song for the most part). In the end, the girl proceeded to jump off the roof, she couldn't handle it anymore

I've been suffering from depression as well and at times, suicidal thoughts. I wanted to bring into my mind a picture which I could draw a visual representation of this song into an image, so I combined the songs words and the drawing and together making from it something unique.

The third inspiration is the background that I've put. Why? Well, that is the name I've decided to give my drawing: "Tripping and Falling". Tripping and Falling is the sample used for the song "Count Me Out" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GhhVHpPR_M) by the infamous rapper @kendricklamar, that focuses on Kendrick calling out a once-significant person in his life who he loves to prove wrong.

Kendrick emphasizes the importance of his self-love, forgiveness, and staying true to oneself, while also encouraging personal growth and overcoming fear. The song explores themes of trust, authenticity and eventual complexities of fame. I feel like it's a great way to put three materials together, to balance the negativity as for fear, self hate and struggle with positivity as for self love, trust and staying true to yourself.

I used the first minute of the instrumental of the song with the samples (you can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2bUX6zDmlQ), I found it the most fitting.

Thanks for reading! Hopefully you actually READ everything or most of it and didn't just scroll down for nothing lol. If you haven't watched it yet, go watch it! If you haven't read the description, go read it! If you haven't done both, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??
