Mortal Kombat™ 1 Chapter 7: Narrow Escape is the story of Reptile.

Syzoth prowls the rooftops of Outworld during a large festival, being patrolled both by Li Mei's city constables and General Shao's troops. During the festivities, Mileena and Tanya flirt, and Kitana cautions her sister about consorting with Umgadi, given their oaths, having noticed her sister's desires.

She tells her sister to wait until she has become Empress to change the laws, but a dissatisfied Mileena walks away disgusted. The Earthrealmers and Ashrah disguise themselves in festival attire while Syzoth creates a diversion to help them escape. However, he is spotted by Reiko, who uses a projectile to injure the Zaterran and allows the others to chase him down.
