Today I want to cover the triggers of cortisol beyond stress. Many people have a cortisol body type, and they have high levels of cortisol. These people may be focused on reducing the stress in their life. But, there are other things besides stress that can increase cortisol.

Cortisol triggers beyond stress:
1. Insomnia
Not sleeping can increase cortisol by 45%

2. Repeated caffeine
A small cup of coffee in the morning is fine. But, you don't want to continue to drink coffee repetitively throughout the day.

3. Alcohol
Alcohol can increase cortisol more than stress.

4. Insulin
Insulin mainly comes from sugar.
