In this video, we’re going to talk about what you could do for dry, burning eyes.

A few potential causes of dry, burning eyes are high blood sugar and insulin resistance. A vitamin A deficiency can also be a cause.

In many cases, diabetics will have problems with the eyes, such as:
• Retinopathy
• Cataracts
• Glaucoma
• Macular Edema
• Foreign body sensation (a feeling that there is something in the eye when there isn’t anything there)

With insulin resistance or a high blood sugar situation, the tear glands can stop producing tears. You can also get microvascular damage, which can affect the blood flow to the nerve that goes to the cornea. This can cause all sorts of problems with the eye, including dryness.

Five things you could do for dry, burning eyes:
1. Cut out sugar
2. Consume a moderate amount of protein
3. Consume seven cups of vegetables per day
4. Consume higher amounts of fat
5. Do intermittent fasting
