New poll shows East Lansing's income tax plan isn't likely to pass

A recent poll conducted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce reveals the East Lansing income tax proposal is not a big hit with voters. The East Lansing City Council voted recently to put a measure on the November ballot that would tax residents 1% of their income. Non- residents who work in the city, would be taxed .5%.
