In this video, I’ll tell you about two important trace minerals that can help your depression. If you’re depressed, or know someone who is, watch this video.

Let’s start with chromium. If you research chromium and depression, you’ll find a lot of information about how chromium helps depression. But you won’t find data explaining why it works. It’s the same thing if you search for zinc and depression. You’ll find a lot of information, but not an explanation of why it works.

The reason these two trace minerals are effective is that they’re both intimately involved in stabilizing blood sugars, but in slightly different ways. Chromium directly helps stabilize the blood sugars. Many diabetics take it and do very well. Take 600 micrograms per day.

Zinc is necessary for the production of insulin to regulate blood sugar. The beta cells in the pancreas make insulin, and they absorb a significant amount of it. Of all your body’s cells, most of the zinc is found in the beta cells. I recommend you take 30 milligrams per day.

Let’s say you have low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), because you have insulin resistance. Your brain is the number one target for hypoglycemia because it doesn’t store glycogen. It depends on the sugar in your blood. When the sugar is too low, your brain suffers. And when you have insulin resistance, you can’t absorb the protein your body needs to produce neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin that elevate your mood.

I highly recommend you take these two trace minerals along with doing keto and intermittent fasting to help your depression.
