There are times when a high-fat diet is dangerous. I’ll explain.

People will tell you you have to avoid fats, otherwise, you’ll have heart attacks or strokes. They claim saturated fats are dangerous. You hear this all the time. But the people who are consuming saturated fats and having problems are always consuming high carbohydrates too.

Combining high carbs with fat, or with protein for that matter, will spike your insulin even more than if you consume them separately. There is no danger in consuming saturated fats with low carbs. There is no danger in consuming healthy proteins with low carbs. It’s the high carbs that create issues.

The keto and intermittent fasting program is very beneficial for your blood cholesterol levels, your triglyceride levels, and your heart. In other words, you can be safe on a high-fat diet.
