You’ve probably heard of the problems associated with insulin resistance, but what happens when your fat cells become insulin resistant? Find out in this video.

3:11 Thanks for watching!

In this video, we’re going to talk about insulin resistance. If your muscle cells are insulin resistant, this means that they stop absorbing insulin. The body responds by producing more insulin, which inhibits glucose absorption in the muscle.

If your liver cells are insulin resistant, you can no longer store or release glucose. When your fat cells are insulin resistant, they stop absorbing fat. This leads to fat deposits in other tissues including the viscera, arteries, liver, and muscles.

Converting to a keto diet is the best way to combat insulin resistance.
