In this video, we’re going to talk about why ketosis doesn’t always cause weight loss. Ketosis is a state where the body produces ketones which are a byproduct of fat burning. This allows your body to burn fat for fuel rather than glucose. To get into ketosis, it’s necessary to lower your carbohydrates.
If you’re consuming too many calories, your body will continue running on dietary fat rather than tapping into your body fat reserve.
To lose weight on a ketogenic diet, you have to keep your carbs low, your protein intake should be moderate, and adjust your fat intake to suit your metabolism.
