In this video, we’re going to take a look at how 7 to 10 cups of vegetables can help you meet your daily potassium requirements. On average, 7 to 10 cups of vegetables contain around 2,000 to 3,000 milligrams of potassium. You can add other potassium sources to your diet to meet your daily potassium requirements of 4,700 milligrams.
Here are some other foods high in potassium to incorporate into your diet to help meet your potassium RDA:
•1 cup of mixed nuts = 847 milligrams of potassium
•1 5-ounce serving of animal protein = 300 mg of potassium
•1 avocado = 800 milligrams of potassium
•1 6-ounce portion of salmon = 800 milligrams of potassium
Ideally, you’ll want to consume a combination of foods high in potassium to meet your daily potassium requirements. Wheatgrass juice powder and electrolyte powder can help you meet your potassium RDA.
