1:47 Can I have stevia on keto?
In this video, we’re going to look at the effects of stevia on ketosis. In my private Facebook group, we did an experiment to see the effects of stevia on ketones and blood sugar.
63% of participants experienced a 3-point blood sugar increase, which is insignificant. The remaining participants actually experienced an 8-point decrease in blood sugar.
Similarly, 63% of participants had a .1 decrease in ketones, while the remainder had a .2 increase in ketones. Stevia may increase your blood sugar or decrease your ketones very slightly, but the change is insignificant.
Stevia is a great keto sweetener that won’t kick you out of ketosis. Be sure to avoid stevia that contains added dextrose or maltodextrin.
