Bulletproof coffee is often thought of as keto coffee, but will it slow your weight loss?

**Error in my calculations - it's not 111%, it is 101%.
***Another mistake - miscalculation on the butter, which is 19%, not 38%.

In this video, we’re going to talk about bulletproof coffee and weight loss. When you’re following a Healthy Keto diet, 70% of your calories should come from fat, 20% from protein, 5% from carbohydrates, and at least 5% from vegetables.

If you're eating two meals and around 1500 calories each day, then you would need to consume around 114 grams of fat per day. If you’re drinking bulletproof coffee every morning, it will be very easy to exceed this number.

Two tablespoons of MCT oil contain 24% of your daily fat allowance on a 1500-calorie diet. If you add in 2 tablespoons of butter and ½ cup of mixed nuts, that will put you at 101% of your total fat for the day.

As you adapt to ketosis, you want to burn your body fat as fuel, not just dietary fat from your food. If you exceed your daily fat allowance, it will be difficult for you to burn your own fat. This can stall weight loss.

If you have a slow metabolism or you’re struggling with weight loss, it may be best to avoid bulletproof coffee.
