In this video, we’re going to take a look at the connection between keto rash and a fatty liver. There are a few reasons why someone might get a rash while doing keto and intermittent fasting. If you’re doing keto without intermittent fasting, a B vitamin deficiency can cause keto rash.

Keto rash is sometimes a side effect of autophagy, a condition where the body recycles old, damaged proteins. This can occur if you’re doing both keto and intermittent fasting.

The most common cause of keto rash is a fatty liver. When you have a fatty liver, you do not have the proper function of your entire liver. Your liver loses the capacity to properly detox the body, which can cause toxins to back up.

Choline is a B vitamin that can help prevent and reverse a fatty liver. Choline also works with bile to help your body break down fat, helps clean your liver, and prevents hemorrhoids.

Egg yolk, beef liver, and cruciferous vegetables are all good sources of choline. Healthy gut flora is essential for absorbing choline. Fermented foods can help fortify the healthy bacteria in your gut to ensure adequate absorption of choline.
