One of my subscribers sent me their keto meal for me to analyze and make recommendations. Here is what the meal contained:

● Kiwi fruit
● Sheep’s yogurt
● 5 almonds
● Beet leaves
● Eggs
● Tomatoes
● Boiled chard
● Cow’s milk

This person also reports shooting electrical pain on the right side of their body, although I don’t have more details than that. It could be gallbladder, or kidney. They’ve also had weight loss, from 131 kilograms (288 pounds) to 116 kilograms (255 pounds), drink 4 to 5 liters of water per day, have a problem with digestion, and need to exercise more.

My recommendations are: to eliminate the kiwi and yogurt. Use the almonds as part of a meal, not as a snack. Eliminating snacks will help improve digestion. The tomatoes, beet leaves, and boiled chard are all good. I suggest adding a raw salad for more fiber. Beet leaves have massive amounts of potassium. And, take out the cow’s milk and replace it with almond milk.

When the pain on the right side flares up, massage your right side under the rib cage, one inch down and an inch from your midline. Press in. If the pain goes away quickly, it’s the gallbladder causing it. You might need to add betaine hydrochloride, bile salts, or gallbladder formula as a supplement to support your digestion.

But it could also be your kidney. If you’re doing one and one-half meals per day, your uric acid could build up if you’re prone to it, especially if you’re still adapting to keto. You can develop crystals in your kidneys, or even a stone, while you adapt to keto and intermittent fasting. The best remedy to counter this is hydroxy citrate. Potassium citrate works too, just not as well. You can also drink lemon water to alkalize your body.

I agree that exercising is excellent. And with the amount of liquid this person is consuming, I’d suggest adding electrolytes.

These are my suggestions for dialing in this keto meal!
