In this video, I explain how to get rid of something called phantom pain. First, what is phantom pain? It’s the sensation of pain in a limb or organ of one’s body, but the limb or organ is no longer there. For example, let’s say you had a leg amputated in an accident. Your leg isn’t there anymore, but you still have the experience of pain in the phantom leg.

Here’s what you can do to get rid of the phantom pain. I’m not going to go into why this technique works; just trust me, it does.

If it’s your left leg that’s missing, you can stimulate massage on your right leg either yourself or have someone else do it for you. You can use your hands or a massage tool, or even acupuncture. The point is you want to stimulate the opposite leg. There are all kinds of massage tools you can use. The specific tool doesn’t really matter - just concentrate on stimulating the opposite side of the pain.

You’re probably going to notice a hypersensitivity to pain on the side you stimulate. This might surprise you, but it has to do with how the neurological circuits in your body are connected. The left circuits are connected to the right neurological circuits in a continuous loop, which is why you can influence one side of your body by working on the other side.
