Draft prepared by the Bishops of the BCP

We, bishops emeriti of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, are aware of the deep crisis in matters of faith and morals as well as of the fact that the current Pope Francis has brought on himself God’s anathema by breaking the most basic norms on which the Church stands or falls. This being the case, territorial responsibility for the Church is automatically transferred to the orthodox College of Bishops.
In the month of October, the global assembly of the synodal path will take place in the Vatican. Its hidden agenda has already been exposed as an attempt to interfere in faith and morals rather than restore the Church from within.
We, orthodox Catholic bishops, can by no means agree with Bergoglio’s gradual but ground-breaking path to the Church’s self-destruction. We are fully aware that until the situation is stabilised we, the orthodox college of bishops, bear full responsibility in matters of faith and morals for our local Church in the Czech Republic and Slovakia both before God and before the Church worldwide.
Seminaries and male monasteries were dissolved during early communism in the 1950s. Many priests were imprisoned and bishops were either in prison or in solitary confinement. We will never forget brave bishops such as Josef Beran, Archbishop of Prague, who died in exile, Josef Matocha, Archbishop of Olomouc, who died under house arrest, Slovak bishops Pavol Gojdič and Ján Vojtaššák, and others who were imprisoned and died as martyrs.
From a certain point of view, we are now placed in an even more difficult situation, because the abuse of the highest church authority causes internal chaos in the very heart of the Church. In addition, bishops in the past were supported by the loyalty of literally the entire Catholic nation. We and those faithful to us, who perceive the need of true faith, are exposed to the pressure from the spirit of this world from both without and within, the pressure from those who want to introduce a different teaching and a different spirit. Similarly, Archbishop St Methodius as well as the Martyr Bishop St Adalbert faced pressure of paganism and abuse of church power. May the two of them as well as other of our national patrons be our powerful intercessors in these crucial times in which God has placed us.
First of all, we want to repent for the mistakes by which we caused offence to many people. It concerns the recent unfortunate experimental vaccine propaganda. We hypocritically appealed to Francis instead of to real solid experts. How unfortunate was his visit to Slovakia conditioned by the people’s acceptance of this risky vaccine! We are also aware of the need to repent for the manipulative vaccination centres in the Catholic parish houses in Slovakia. Many have died as a result of this vaccine. We want to learn from these mistakes, and we repent sincerely.
Furthermore, the reason for our repentance is the promotion of the synodal path and the related February scandalous event in Prague. It was about promoting the legalization of the sin of sodomy. German pseudo Bishop Bätzing, the main promoter of this rebellion against God’s law, and some others gave a speech to a thunderous ovation. They committed the sin of the abuse of episcopal authority, and scandalised the little ones. We now publicly dissociate ourselves from this LGBTQ synodal path!
Some priests who were unjustly punished compared the Czech Bishops’ Conference to the former StB (State Security). We consider this to be a bit exaggerated; however, there is no denying the fact that both the Czech and the Slovak Bishops’ Conference failed to use their episcopal authority to defend faith and morals and often paralysed the work of God.
On the other hand, we are pleased to state that this year the Czech Bishops’ Conference has publicly stood up for families and children. As a result, the Czech government rejected the Istanbul Convention.
Dear priests and faithful, we are facing the global synodal path assembly in the Vatican which is to take place in the month of October, the month dedicated to the Holy Rosary. Apart from efforts to legalize the suicidal German path and present it as a model, the agenda will also include a debate about celibacy aimed at pushing the ordination of women as deacons and, consequently, as priests. As part of so-called synodality, the Germans seek to relieve bishops of their responsibility for the Church and to transfer it to the so-called synodal council. Authority will be taken over by the lay people, de facto sodomites and lesbians, including in matters of faith and morals. The Belgian bishops have already won approval from Francis to bless LGBTQ marriages, including even marriages with animals as so-called queer couples. This is real madness!
The Vatican assembly will also discuss changes in the liturgy based on the model of Mexican bishops or the Amazonian model. Cardinal Brandmüller said about the Amazon Synod documents that they were not just about apostasy but about stupidity. The introduction of the spirit of paganism by a so-called incensor and principal and through pagan dance borders on the question of validity of the Consecration in the Mass. The path of ordaining deaconesses and priestesses and adopting pagan elements leads to the loss of priestly identity and the loss of this sacrament as such. Therefore, we answer different questions in advance:
As for the implementation of these changes, we bishops of the Czech Republic and Slovakia cannot in any case allow some unreasonable priests to implement them. On the other hand, we announce the possibility of choosing to celebrate either the traditional Tridentine Mass or the Mass of Paul VI. We also do not prevent the priest, if he considers it appropriate, to move the altar so that he can stand in front of it and celebrate Mass facing the tabernacle, not with his back to it.
To experience the mystery of the Consecration more deeply, we recommend a short moment of silence before and after the Consecration. We also give the opportunity instead of reciting the prayers out loud after the Consecration to sing an antiphon or a church hymn, as was practised in the Latin Mass. The priest says these prayers quietly.
Regarding the prayer activities of believers during the month of October, we recommend the prayer initiative called Jericho. In essence, it is about going around the squares of the local, district, regional and capital cities for four Sundays, 8, 15, 22 and 29 October, six times in silence and the seventh time singing a song, possibly accompanied by musical instruments, based on the biblical inspiration of a living faith (Jos 6). The intention is for the spiritual walls that prevent the revival of the Church and the nation to fall down. Let priests together with zealous lay people be entrusted with the organizational responsibility for the event.
Throughout the month, we also recommend zealous believers to pray fifteen decades of the Rosary for the revival of the Church.
