I was asked if Slim Fast keto products are really keto-friendly like the company claims they are. So let me walk you through this.

The first problem I have is with their ingredients. This is yet another example of why you always need to read the labels! Many of the products have maltodextrin, which has a high score on what’s called the glycemic index. The score is higher than table sugar. Talk about a massive spike in insulin. And the FDA doesn’t require companies to factor in maltodextrin as an added sugar.

Then there’s dextrose and tapioca which also have very high glycemic index scores and will significantly raise your insulin.

Soy and canola oil are usually GMO with glyphosate residue. Not good! For an energy boost, they add caffeine.
In my opinion, these products are very low quality, with lots of hidden sugars. They will spike your insulin and I doubt they will help you lose weight.

Next up, many of these products are snack-based. We’re trying to get people to do intermittent fasting so they aren’t raising insulin so frequently. They recommend chips, bars, and energy boosters. Stay away!

The biggest reason I don’t recommend them is because of the company’s questionable integrity. They’re still producing their original products which contain many grams of GMO beet sugar. We have a massive epidemic of people eating too much sugar, leading to metabolic syndrome, obesity, prediabetes, and insulin resistance. The big question is are they really trying to help people because they realize sugar is dangerous or are they just tapping into a trending market to make a big profit?

Now you know why I don’t recommend Slim Fast keto products.
