In 1840, Gottliebin Dittus moved into a small apartment in Möttlingen, Germany. What followed has been described as the most extreme, most gruesome, and most chilling demonic possession in all history. Mysterious happenings, apparitions, black magic, and horrific physical phenomena of the worst variety, it led to the involvement of Johann Christoph Blumhardt, a Lutheran pastor who not merely documented the case, but performed an exorcism on Gottliebin. Today, his writings are remembered as The Black Forest Exorcism.
