The South Shields’ poltergeist has been described as “one of the most remarkable British poltergeist cases thus reported in the twenty-first century”. For certainly, this case of paranormal activity showcases all manner of creepy haunted phenomena, including objects moving of their own volition, strange sounds, anomalous voices, and even horrifying physical interactions between the living and ghosts. Investigated in 2006, the haunting centred on a family in the North of England, specifically 42 Lock Street. Was it a ghost? A demon? Or some other form of spirit or unseen happening? Whilst the origin of the poltergeist remains unknown, its terrifying legacy stands, with much strangeness – including creepy photos – having been documented by those who visited the property, helping to illuminate the bizarre truth behind poltergeists and the paranormal.
