What is Lyme disease?
Lyme disease is caused by a bacteria called a spirochete that digs into the tissue and can get into the blood and organs. It’s transmitted through ticks. One of the big problems that occur with Lyme disease is the inflammation to the body tissues that is caused by the immune system trying to fight off the bacteria.

Classic Lyme Symptoms:

• Fatigue
• Headache
• Joint pain 
• Chills
• Fever
• Flu-like symptoms (aches)
• Swollen glands
• Tick bite rash (bulls-eye rash) 

Over 50% of the time, people don’t have a rash. In fact, some people don’t have many of the symptoms of Lyme disease. Tests for Lyme disease can also give you a false negative.
