Cyberpunk2077 Corpo Ep60 - Buck Ravers / Wakakos Favourite / Shrine Defiled (No Commentary)

An unexpected surprise reward for doing an earlier gig has to be one of my favourite moments of the entire game. I knew it was in the game somewhere, I just didn't realise it would show up like that.

And now that Phantom Liberty is live, I'll be cutting this playthrough off here. I made up my mind a long time ago that if CDPR actually followed through and delivered on what was hinted at in the trailer, then I'd pick it up.

Like a lot of people I bought into the hype before the game launched, I listened to their rubbish claims about how choices mattered and affected the world around you. Well along comes the game and what do people find? Aside from the Pickup job, almost everything you do in Night City has zero bearing on the rest of the world around you.

Devil ending? V dies in an Arasaka lab. Suicide ending? Self explanatory. Rogue, Panam and Johnny raids on Arasaka? V plugs into Mikoshi every single time and dies, just with slightly different flavour text. Then it's either an engram of V that goes back, or Johnny takes over V's body.

Trash endings one and all. "No such thing as a happy ending in Night City" is just "We forgot that we made all but two of the endings bottleneck through the same stupid Mikoshi event."

After all that, I was perfectly fine with watching the endings posted by people who'd been given early access. If it was going to be just another 'plug-into-Mikoshi' but with references to Phantom Liberty in the dialog then it would have felt like a huge waste of time.
