Today we're going to talk about the 10 most popular things American's eat.

Many of these foods have issues with:

• Acrylamide (a carcinogen)

• Glycation

• A spike in insulin

• Soy/corn oil

Top 10 things American’s consume:

1. Soda—An average American consumes 44.7 gallons, or 374 pounds, of soda every year. 

2. Bread—An average American consumes 53 pounds of bread per year. 

3. Burgers—There are over 50 billion burgers sold every year. 

4. French fries—An average American consumes 29 pounds of fries per year.

5. Icecream—An average American consumes 23 pounds of ice cream per year.

6. Hot dog—20 billion hot dogs are sold every year. 

7. Pizza—An average American consumes 40 pizzas a year. 

8. Oreo cookies—Over 2.5 billion packs of Oreo cookies are sold every year. 

9. Chicken nuggets/strips—There are over 2.3 billion servings of chicken nuggets per year and over 1.5 billion servings of chicken strips per year.

10. Donuts—American’s buy 10 billion donuts per year.
