Archaeologists unearth the largest cemetery ever discovered in Gaza
In the Gaza Strip, Palestinian laborers have uncovered numerous ancient graves, including two lead sarcophagi, within a Roman-era cemetery that dates back approximately 2,000 years.
Archaeologists are heralding this discovery as the largest cemetery ever unearthed in Gaza.
The excavation of this historical site began last year when workers stumbled upon it during the construction of a housing project funded by Egypt, situated near Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip, the Associated Press reported.
