Today we’re going to talk about celery and what it can do for you. There are certain phytonutrients in celery. But, keep in mind, some of these phytonutrients are in the fiber part of the celery. This means that if you’re juicing the celery, you might not get enough of the phytonutrients that are in the fiber part. Consuming the whole celery may be more beneficial than just the juice. Celery seed extract may also be very beneficial.
Celery has a phytonutrient that can help lower uric acid. It can also help alkalize the body. Another phytonutrient in celery is called apigenin, which may be anti-cancer.
Benefits of celery:
1. It may help people with high blood pressure
2. It may help with insomnia
3. It may help with fluid retention
4. It may help with joint inflammation
5. It may help with UTIs (urinary tract infections)
6. It may help with gout
