In this video, we’re going to talk about how a hysterectomy can affect your body shape. Now, this is primarily for women who are considering a hysterectomy—you may want to think twice.

Here’s the problem: you have all kinds of ligaments that are attached to your torso, lower ribs, lower back, and pelvis that are cut. These ligaments are opposing your abdominal muscles.

When you lose this balance, it can create major weaknesses within your abdominal muscles. In turn, your stomach can collapse and fall forward, giving you the appearance of being fat.

A hysterectomy can also give you low back pain because it alters the curvature of your back. You may also experience weakness in your core.

There are many other side effects that you may experience after a hysterectomy, including:
• Low libido
• Bladder issues
• Bowel issues
• Increased risk of cardiovascular disease
• Increased risk of clots
• Depression
• Weight gain (on average, 25 lbs)
• Pain

Some people experience no symptoms at all. So before you make a decision, check with your doctor and talk about the risks.

The two top reasons for getting a hysterectomy is if you have endometriosis or fibroids.

Both of these conditions occur if you are estrogen dominant. This means that you’ll want to avoid estrogen and things that mimic estrogen.

Avoid GMO cotton, dairy, soy, and other GMO foods. You can try sea kelp and cruciferous vegetables. All of your foods should be organic.

If you’ve already had a hysterectomy, it’s a good idea to be on a keto and intermittent fasting plan. Keto and fasting will help induce autophagy, lower inflammation, and support a healthy metabolism.
