Random Rants: One Piece Live-Action Series Is Creating New FANS For Its Franchise. Why Isn't Ahsoka?

There is an interesting dynamic when comparing Netflix's One Piece Live Action (OPLA) adaptation and the Ahsoka series on Disney+. Both series have their roots in animation: One Piece from anime, Ahsoka from Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, one series currently seems to be creating a new love for its franchise and expanding its fan base. And one seems to struggle to give its existing fanbase what it expects. Why? It comes down to character writing, good vs. bad. OPLA excels with the main characters, where as Dave Filoni and his writing for his main characters is subpar.
