Even though your friendly bacteria live off of your body, they are not parasites because they can actually do things for you, such as:

• Help make certain vitamins
• Help make antioxidants
• Eat fiber and convert it to things like butyrate
• Help with your blood sugars

Before you start these herbs, you may want to take purified bile salts. You can take three throughout the day on an empty stomach. Then the next day, you could try taking the herbs.
