The Hitchhiker

This chilling story recounts a fateful encounter on a stormy night. After picking up a mysterious hitchhiker who had the ability to change from friendly to menacing in an instant, the narrator is haunted by the realization that they might have given a ride to a killer. Days later, news breaks of a gruesome murder in the same area, with the prime suspect fitting the hitchhiker's description. Despite reporting their encounter to the police, the investigation goes nowhere, leaving the narrator haunted by their brush with a potential murderer. Now, whenever they drive in the rain and fog, they can't shake the feeling that the sinister hitchhiker may appear again. The story serves as a chilling reminder of the dangers of picking up strangers and trusting our instincts.
