Metro seeking comments on restructuring 3 troubled bus routes

To improve efficiency and attract ridership, Metro is proposing restructuring routes 1, 28 and 50, which are the three local routes with the lowest productivity. The changes would start in December. Metro officials will hold a public meeting from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Room 206 of the Duke Energy Convention Center to receive public comments on the proposed changes. They'll make a brief presentation every hour on the hour so the public may stop by anytime to electronically record their comments for the record. Comments can also be submitted by 8 p.m. Wednesday online at the website here, via email at routecomments@go-metro.com; via fax at 513-632-9202 and via comment forms on buses, at the Government Square information booth, and at the sales office in the Mercantile Building arcade.
