An overgrowth of mites within your eyelashes can cause your eyelashes to fall out. If they overgrow on your skin, they may cause rosacea. These mites are also known to cause alopecia in certain cases.

The top medications that are given to people who lose their eyelashes actually kill these mites. However, there are natural alternatives that are antimicrobial and may be beneficial.

The best natural remedy to stop the loss of eyelashes and support the growth of eyelashes is a combination of tea tree oil and castor oil. Be very careful not to get these oils in your eyes because they can cause eye irritation.

1. Mix two drops of tea tree oil into one tablespoon of castor oil.
