Let’s talk about how to stop excessive sweating—not just in your hands, but your whole body.

There are three sources of perspiration:
1. The eccrine gland
Responds to:
• Exercise
• Emotional stress
• Hot weather
Releases:
• Electrolytes for cooling

2. Apocrine gland
Responds to:
• Emotional stress
• Fear
• Pain
Releases:
• Electrolytes for cooling

3. Sebaceous gland
Releases:
• Sebum for lubrication

It’s the overstimulation of the eccrine gland that really causes excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), and it’s typically triggered by stress.

Even though you might not feel stressed, your body may have a low threshold for stress and can respond to even the smallest things.

Some treatments for hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating are surgery or medications. But, we want to explore more natural alternatives for excessive sweating.

Natural remedies for excessive sweating:
1. Rosmarinic acid (rosemary and sage)
2. Vitamin B1 (thiamine)
