#Sony under attack: Hacker group allegedly stole 6,000 files and is putting them up for sale

A so-called ransomware group is said to have broken into Sony's security and compromised "all systems" at the company. Although not yet confirmed, the alleged cybercriminal group claims on its website that it will put the compromised data up for sale, cybersecurityconnect.com reports.

As evidence, the hackers show screenshots confirming the attack and promise a date of publication of September 28, although they do not show any information that could directly affect the company. However, they want to put up more than 6,000 files that may have been illegally extracted from Sony's servers for sale. This concerns, among other things, system logs, Java resources and HTML files.

So far, they have not put a price tag, but they have left several contact lines for potential buyers of the stolen information.
